Sighișoara – Schäßburg in German – is considered Europe's best-preserved inhabited medieval citadel and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the narrow lanes of the upper town, time seems to stand still.
We climb up to the Clock Tower, take the covered “scholars' stairway” to the Church on the Hill and stand in front of the house where Vlad Țepeș was born – the historical model for Count Dracula. Plus plenty of stories from medieval everyday life.
